Christmas Card Exchange
Send Christmas cheer to our M.D. Family Fun members.
Christmas card kits includes: A variety of cool Stickers, An addressed and stamped envelope, Christmas card, ribbon, pictures, glue dots, glitter, snowman background, snowman body parts and clothes and hats, and a marker.
It is totally fine if you would prefer buying or making your own card to mail
I will mail or deliver these to you ASAP.

Bring one kit home per child and they will decorate, write messages and mail out
to our members. The cards, supplies, decorations, stamps, pictures and addresses will be provided.

We had a great time with our M.D Families and friends.We had a nature hunt and had the kids find random items from the woods. They got extra points for a frog. Almost everyone had a froggy. The pictures are posted on ning site under Camp Out 2009. The kids played a game called find it. They had to find clues and answer questions to move on to get there final prize.
We all had a barbecue and ate hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and drinks for dinner. The kids ran and drove there chair all over. They were enjoying each others company. Later that evening we hung outside, pitched a couple of tents. Started the fire for some smores and Jeremie played music with the mandolin. He is very talented. The kids had glow sticks which was the highlight of the night. The dollar store is a wonderful thing.
After a long day of fun in the sun and rain, The kiddos headed off to watch a movie and play video games inside with the babysitter. The parents got to talk and have some alone time at the campfire. This doesn't happen very often but, it was very nice to get to know each other a bit more. It is interesting how our children are so different but, have so many similarities. We really connected as we are all facing alot of the same issues but just at different times.
The Dunlap's decided to weather the rain and sleep outside. They tried out there new tent and it passed the test as they stayed dry all night. The others slept inside...
We all woke up the next morning and had sausage, eggs, pancakes for breakfast. The kids ate a bunch and we were ready for the next activity. We played a ball/sled game and also played volleyball and kickball with a huge light ball. The kids came inside and we did some leaf art with color crayons and paper. We blew up balloons and colored and did some more art projects. Had lunch and watched a movie and played games and relaxed until it was time to go home.
We all had a great time!!

Spokane Visit with M.D. Family Fun 2009
M.D. Family Fun received a grant of $750.00 in June at the M.D. Family Fun Day. We are very excited to be able to use these resources for our families. We will be putting some of this grant towards our first Family Campout in August and our group t shirts and several activity days this year. Thank you so much. Thanks for a great friendship visit at the park.

CONSIGNMENT:
You also have the option to put your larger items on consignment. You may donate a percentage of your choice to M.D. F.F. and keep the rest of the profit $$$$$ for yourself.
VOLUNTEERING:
We need help setting up the tables, pricing, organizing, making food at snack shack, making signs, folding clothes, putting up signs, parking helpers, cleaning items, cashier and etc....
If you can volunteer an hour or two that would be great. Call to set up a time that works best for you. All money goes to M.D. Family fun. To see where money goes
RAFFLE TICKETS:
Buy a raffle ticket for $1.00 to win a free family size Pa Pa Murphy's pizza or a dozen Krispy Kremes donuts or $10.00 cash. All volunteers get a free 1.00 ticket to enter into the raffle of their choice every time they volunteer.

We will be selling hot dogs,nachos, brownies, latees, cocoa, plants, and homemade cards, Pizza Hut fundraiser cards, pop and candy, chips.

Family skate Day 
Pattisons North Rink
March 21st, 2009, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
$5.00 per person
I will have teen volunteers to help with the kids and extra manual wheelchairs to use.Wheelchairs and strollers are welcomed on the rink .We will have the rink to ourselves for two full hours.
We will have an additional hour to party. The $5.00 will cover admission, skates and pizza and drinks and rink rental.
OPTIONAL!!!
Thomas Ell will be turning 10 and will be having a Birthday party.
You may bring an inexpensive gift for Thomas.
But, I have a large present from the group.
It is your choice.
Also Cameron Dunlap will be having his back surgery in April.
I would like to give him a FAVORITE THINGS BOX filled with small fun items so he can keep himself entertained in the hospital.
You may Bring your favorite thing to add to the box.

M.D. Family Fun Award
Journey of Hope from Push America awarded us with the Trans America Grant for $500.00.Journey of Hope thanked us for the great welcom we gave them while they were in Spokane.We will put the the money to good use.We will put the money towards out new T- Shirts in 2009 and our boys hangout Day and out all girls spa day for Nov & Dec. and also some for our first weekend family camp out.
They are truely passionate for people with disabilities.The kids really enjoyed the puppet show that was presented by J.O.H.Looking forward to seeing more of the J.O.H. in the future.
We give thanks to the Turner's who really helped in making the visit to Spokane great.There hospitality and helping hands were greatly appreciated. Also to the teen volunteers who helped with the games and set up and clean up.We couldnt have done it without you.
Our family fun day turned out great! the Journey of Hope were so awesome with the kids. We put on a potluck style picnic.Everyone enjoyed games, face painting, a fish pond with prizes,remote control cars and helicoptors,water balloons,prizes, puppet show, gunny sack race and more. We had a great Fathers Day in the park.
