    Welcome to (MDFF)

 

 

  Welcome to our  non-profit Kid's Muscular Dystrophy activity group.

We  provide  quality & engaging activities  throughout the year. 

The Focus  is on what our kids can do, and not what they can’t do. 

Activities  will  include every child of all ages, abilities.

Adaptive equipment may be provided  if needed during certain activities.

 

  We provide helpful resources,   and positive support for the whole family.

 We have family fun days where we encourage  family  &  friends to join together  in  activities with the M.D. kids group.

 

 We have a  Mom's support group which meets once a month,

This is a very important time to bond and create new friendships.

 We are a great support for each other. We  go out and do fun things too.

 

  We are starting a  free equipment loan closet.  It will have all sorts of equipmet to loan out to families.  You may  keep out items  on  loan as long as your child needs them .  Our  special  needs  Library is  free also.  It  will  be full  of miscelaneous resources for the whole family.  See  services &  our  M.D. Kids  newletter  for  more details.

          Welcome to   M.D. Family fun ! 

 We are a  Muscular Dystrophy  Activity Group.  I am  committed to providing   helpful resources and quality engaging activities  on a regular basis.  Focusing on what our kids CAN do is  the number one  priority. Activities  will include every child of all ages  and abilities. Family members are encouraged to participate in activities and special events throughout the year.

I am very excited to say I will be your activity leader & support system.  I  will  run the Mom’s support group  and provide quality resources  and  run the activity groups. Family members from our group  will volunteer there time to help also.

  There will be a  family loan  library with awesome resources.  Listed are  board & computer games, music CD's, DVD movies, VHS movies &  books for the whole family. These items  will be loaned  out for  free to MDFF members.  

 There  will  also  be an  equipment closet.  There will be adaptive  toys and recreational  sport items and special needs equipment available to loan out for free  to  MDFF members.

 Website has  only been up  since  March 2008.  I am still editing and under construction.  I will be adding many new things so check back often. Be patient with the yahoo web server.  A more professional website is in the works,  I am so happy to  be helping others and I look forward to meeting you all.
